*For sale is a Gucci, RARE, 'snaffle' style, bohemian/mod, black suede and leather, hobo style shoulder purse with a fold over flap closure and gold tone accents! This is a rare, early style, purse from Gucci that will be the only black purse you will need!
I believe this is called a 'snaffle style. The bag is made of a black suede body and has black leather framing it as the sides, bottom, piping, strap, and design on the front. It has gold tone accents that attach the strap, too! The top does not have a traditional closure, but instead has a top with one side that is longer, so it folds over the other side creating a flap style closure.
The interior is extremely clean! It is from, I think, the late 1960's- early 1970's and by Gucci. It has all of the details an authentic Gucci should like the quality materials/workmanship you would expect. It predates serial numbers the way we are used to seeing them. In side the purse around the top edge, it has the Gucci crest surrounded by 'Gucci' and 'Italy' embossed in gold on one side and '99.001.3675' embossed in gold on the other side. It has been authenticated by a third party expert, so buy with confidence!
