Chanel 1980s Beaded Jeweled Minaudiere Ultra Rare
An exceptionally rare archival piece from Chanel, estimated to date back to 1988. This cylindrical clutch features intricate hand-applied beading, vibrant cabochons, and a bold central medallion. It comes with a 70 cm gold-tone chain and is stamped inside, as was typical of Chanel pieces from this period.
The clutch measures approximately 9 cm in length, 4 cm in height, and 2.5 cm in width.
In well-maintained condition, with minor signs of age: one stone is absent at the top left corner, and some beading has come loose. These aspects are only visible upon close inspection and do not affect the overall look. There is also some natural tarnishing to the hardware. Please see photos for reference.
This piece virtually never surfaces. While not officially documented as part of a couture runway collection, it is widely believed to have been produced at a couture levellikely for special presentation or VIP clientsdue to its craftsmanship and rarity. A true example of Chanels historic design language at its most intricate.
